Dolce vita a Venezia!
I spent my last days of summer in the Italian paradise of Venice and I will definitely never be over Italy. This country is just full of stunning monuments, incredible food and beautiful shopping addresses.
Let me give you a little overview of that week:
After a super short flight from Paris, we drove to Venice and strolled through the tiny streets of the city. It looked so unrealistic, even after seeing images in movies, series or on social media, I still couldn’t believe that a place like this exists. One vaporetto later and a little nap at the hotel, we visited Piazza San Marco with the Basilica and Palazzo Ducale.

The next day, I absolutely wanted to see the Ponte di Rialto over the Grand Canal. It was really crowded but I mean, Venice in august, what do you expect? Then we went to the south, in the Dorsoduro district to *✧shop*✧ at Versace, Valentino, Gucci, Ferragamo, Dolce Gabbana. I was really close to empty my savings for a D&G sparkly dress but luckily my bank account got saved last moment because there was no more small size.

Spent my Wednesday on the Murano island, which is really famous for the glass work and I came back with a ring or let's say a "piece of art" made of glass. One gelato later we came back to Venice and started looking for a restaurant, that’s how we ended up at Trattoria San Lio to eat the best spaghetti alle vongole of this world.

On Thursday, we went to the Gardini della Biennale and at the Parco delle Rimembranze. Perfect if you are looking for fresh air and less people running around. Richard Orlinski was presenting some pieces from his new collection.
The city is beautiful but after four days I wanted to do something a little bit different so we took a boat to the Lido Island : it is basically THE location for Venezian's vacations. A lot of beaches and a water close to 30 degrees. It was amazing. If you are looking for the perfect lunch place go to El Pecadore: a London bus completely renovated as a restaurant. Then we wanted to see the Mostra building but the Italian film festival was a few days later, so all access was blocked.

One thing I almost forgot… the best place to eat an ice cream is Venchi. No one can compete with them to be honest!
